Hey, Huey Lewis. It's hip to be mod. That's right, square's gone groovy, and nothing captures the spirit of mod culture like The Who's Quadraphenia, a movie many Who fans consider to be even greater than the more-celebrated Tommy. The film, which features a lad named Jimmy enjoying a motor-scooter cruise about town, screens tonight at the Bluebird, with the Down-N-Outs playing a special pre-show set. --Chris J. Magyar

She's talented, she's beautiful, she wears gigantic colorful hats-- Erykah Badu is taking her Mama's Gun tour to Denver's own Fillmore Auditorium. With recent appearances on national TV and a guest spot with hip-hopster Common, Badu is firmly reentrenched in the limelight that surrounded her three years ago. Go and see her now before she outgrows venues this size. Tickets are $28, and only those over the age of 16 will be admitted. (Duh. The 14-and 15-year-olds are saving their money for the next Insane Clown Posse show anyway.) --Alex Neth

If you don't have anything to do for St. Patrick's Day, don't look to me for suggestions. It's like New Year's Eve ... everybody makes their plans ahead of time. The big shindig of the night is the KTCL's Electric St. Patrick's Ball featuring Paul Oakenfold, DJ Mark Lewis, DJ Hurricane of the Beastie Boys and DJ Dimitri of Dee-Lite. If this sounds good to you, you'll have to do some work to get there because, surprise surprise, it's sold out. Of course, we all know there are last minute opportunities to get into shows, so take your chances if you must. I should let you know though that it's only 21 and over and the show starts at 9 p. m. at Club Next. Good Luck! --Elizabeth Beeson
