Five bucks is all it takes to check out one
of our favorite bands, nGomA with The
Percussions, Dialektix and DJ K-nee
tonight at the Bluebird Theatre. It's a
must-see mix of music.

In response to the unfortunate events that
took place in New York City and
Washington D. C. on 9/ 11, Spike and
Mike's Sick and Twisted Animation is
going to be doing something a little different
tonight. They aren't changing anything,
but rather are donating the profits
of the show to Red Cross. So come on
out and make your contribution tonight at
the Bluebird Theatre at one of two shows,
9: 00 or 12: 00.

It's been ten years since moe. first hit the
small and sweaty stages of Buffalo, New
York. On its "10-Year Anniversary Tour",
moe. celebrates a decade of venues, tour
buses, and rock 'n roll mayhem. Since
hitting Denver for the first time seven
years ago and playing to thirty people at
the Bluebird, moe. now invites Spearhead
to open tonight's show for a capacity
crowd at the Fillmore Auditorium. Expect
a wide variety of styles woven into two
sets that will get the place jumping. Even
though the guys have been around the
block (and country) many, many times,
they still have the tightest show around
and the musical chops to surprise even
the most dedicated fans.

Having trouble shakinâ that booty with a
marginal amount of style lately? Learn
some new moves at Bantaba World
Dance and Music and bring a new flavor
to the clubs. The underbite is out, folks.
So is the pimply-faced prom night two-step.
Why not learn some salsa or
merengue? Or maybe you might want to
revive break dancing. You can even learn
various African dance styles as well as
the drum patterns that go with them. If
your dance card isn't full this Sunday,
make a trip up to 691 S. Broadway in
Boulder and get your ethnically conscious
groove on.

Everybody wants to be naked and
famous, Don't you? Check in on Tricky at
the Ogden if your mama will let you out
of the house on a school night. With
amazing vibes to bring from his new
album, Blowback, (and no opening act!),
he'll be sure to school you in the art of
electronic music done right. Lead man
Adrian Thaws and his cohort Martina
carry on in the Massive Attack tradition
with tenacity. This is sure to be one of the
best shows the Ogden has put on this
year. See ya there.

It's fall, a chill is in the air, so head over
to Pint's Pub at 221 West 13th Ave. and
let Steve (or whoever happens to be overseeing
the bar) pour a Scotch to warm up
your soul. The walls behind the bar contain
the most varieties of smoothness this
side of Loch Ness.

Billy Nershi (String Cheese Incident) and
Liza Oxnard (Zuba) both criss-crossed
the country in separate, but successful,
Colorado-based bands before deciding to
collaborate for It's About Time, the debut
record from the duo. The CD release
party tonight at the Fox Theater will feature
original songs and even some String
Cheese favorites. Because of Oxnard's
strong vocal and songwriting influences,
the tunes come in a variety of styles ranging
from a blues-tainted "Wrong and
Right" to a Nershi reggae number in
"Shantytown" to a delicate acoustic ballad
in "The City Goes By." Expect a
who's who of special guests for this 21+
show.

The circus comes to town! It's the 131st
year of Ringling Bros. and Barnum &
Bailey's antics, and this time the circus
goes salsa. The Greatest Show on Earth
presents a fiery Latin pulse and performance
featuring Ringmaster Jonathan Lee
Iverson and Carnaval dancers, the Girls
from Ipanema. Combining a daredevil
comedy team, trapeze shows, exotic
zebras and other animal performers and
famous Bello Nock as lead clown, the circus
enters the 21st century on a high-energy
note. The run includes shows at
the Pepsi Center (until 10/ 7) and the
Denver Coliseum 10/ 9-10/ 14.

As we approach Halloween, we should
look to close the doors to the city to free
ourselves from mysterious and potentially
dangerous creatures like those of
Frankenstein and werewolves. However,
us at Go-Go should warn you, the city has
failed to keep Dracula out, but he has
been contained... at least for now. You
can see him LIVE in his self-titled ballet
premiering tonight at the Colorado Ballet.

And you thought there was never anything
to do on Sunday nights. Well, there
just happens to be something at the Soiled
Dove. Every Sunday, The Soiled Dove

their chances to come back and headline
a show. Tonight come see how Parts Per
Million, Rednon, Another Land and
Mezcla perform under pressure. If your
indecisive because of how much money
you already spent this weekend, don't

Tonight is the night to visit the Bluebird
Theater and see Nonpoint with Reveille,
Darwin's Waiting Room and Switched.
All up and coming bands worth checking
out on a Monday night. And besides, you
probably won't be missing out on anything
better unless better to you is
Monday Night Football. It very well
might be.

Around for nearly 6 and 1/2 years, the
Eight Bucks Experiment have not only
made their mark on the punk music
industry, but can be seen in the movie
SLC Punk as a fictional English band
called Extreme Corporal Punishment. Its
latest album, Pay Back, is receiving great
reviews from places such as Punk Planet,
Motion Sickness and Hit List. Now, featuring
Davis (formerly of Blister 66) on
drums, and founding members Evan
O'Meara on vocals and brother Paige on
guitar, 8BX embarks on another tour with
the UK Subs where they will be playing
tonight at the Lion's Lair.
